Basketry Workshops

An opportunity for aspiring basket makers to learn from me in person.

In person workshops are a great way to try out basket making, learn a particular shape or technique or increase your confidence in the craft. I teach all levels and tailor the workshop to your own needs. Projects are discussed beforehand so we can have a productive session focused on what you need and would like to learn at any stage on your weaving journey.

These workshops are the only hands on way to learn from me as I do not teach one on one at the moment.

WEEKEND

Two-day workshop

The two-day weekend workshops are relaxing and fun way to dive into basket weaving. They are suitable for all levels. They offer space to allow yourself to be immersed into the weaving and learning new skills.

A light lunch and materials are included.

WILLOW WEAVING EXPERIENCE

5-day immersive workshop

This is a fully immersive weaving week suitable for all levels. This is a time to fully focus on your own work with me guiding you with each step. All projects will be catered to your skill level and what you would like to learn and improve on.

To accommodate this I would like to know what you would like to work on, what techniques you would like to learn, maybe what you have done before and what you might be struggling with so I can tailor this week to you and make sure willow is available.

A light lunch and materials are included.

Killoscully community hall, Killoscully village, Newport, co. Tipperary. Postcode is V94 FK20.

There is no access with public transport to the village or the local Air B&B. Having a vehicle is advised. If this is an issue please get in touch.

Cancellation policy

Once booked I give a full refund if cancelling 4 weeks before the workshop starting date. 50% refund if cancelling between 4 and 2 weeks before the starting date of the workshop. No refund if cancelling two weeks before the start of the workshop. Unless I or you find a replacement. In that case you get a full refund anyway. If I need to cancel the workshop for whatever reason at any time you get a full refund.
